Tricon is a highly fault-tolerant programmable logic and process control technology
Fault tolerance is the most important feature of TRICON controllers, which can identify transient and steady-state faults online and make appropriate corrections. Fault-tolerant technology improves the safety capability and availability of the controller, so that the process can be controlled continuously.

It provides fault tolerance through triple module redundancy architecture (TMR). The system consists of three identical system channels (except for the power module, which is doubly redundant).
