Kanas Scenic Area is located in the middle section of the Altai Mountains in Xinjiang, on the border between China, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Mongolia, covering an area of 10,030 square meters.

The core glacier system of the Kanas National Scenic Area is extremely thinly eroded, and ice and stone surfaces clog the valley, forming the final Mongolian Plateau. The northern part of the lake is 1375 meters. The lake is shaped like a crescent moon, 24.5 kilometers long, with an average width of 1.9 kilometers, an average water depth of 90 meters, and a maximum depth of 188.4 meters. It covers an area of 69,000 acres and has a water storage capacity of 4 billion cubic meters. It is one of the deep-water lakes in China.

There are 55 large-scale parking lots in Kanas Park, belonging to 33 basic types, mainly including Hanas National Nature Reserve, Kanas National Geological Park, Baihaba National Forest Park, Jiadengyu National Forest Park, Kanas Nas River Valley, Hemu River Valley, Naren Grassland, Hemu Grassland and Hemu Village, Baihaba Village, Kanas Village and other eight famous scenic spots and three major cultural landscape areas
