The 991-05-50-01-00 991 thrust transmitter is primarily used by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, or fans. It provides a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional axial displacement (thrust) signal as an input to the control system. The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that can accept input from a 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cables (available in 5-meter and 7-meter system length options). The transmitter converts the signal into an appropriate engineering unit proportional to the axial position of the shaft and provides a 4 to 20 mA industrial standard signal for input to the control system, where it is used for mechanical protection alarms and logic.

The 991-05-50-01-00 991 transmitter has the following notable features:

-Non-isolated "PROX OUT" and "COM" terminals along with a coaxial connector provide dynamic vibration and gap voltage signal outputs for diagnostics.
-Non-interactive zero and span potentiometers under the transmitter label support loop adjustment.
-Test input pins allow quick verification of loop signal output using a variable DC voltage source.
-A power-on suppression circuit eliminates signal errors caused by transient line voltages.
A fault signal/uncertain signal circuit prevents high output or false alarms caused by proximity probe failure or loose connections.
-Optional DIN rail clips or mounting screws as standard options simplify installation.
Tank-style structure suitable for high humidity (up to 100% condensation) environments.
