Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies
Bently Nevada offers two types of all-metal proximity probe housing assemblies designed for external mounting of proximity probes: the 21000 aluminum housing assembly and the 24701 stainless steel housing assembly.
These housings include a dome cap that screws into the housing body, threaded ports for conduit connection, optional probe sleeves with adjustable lengths, O-rings, reverse-mounted proximity probes, threaded seals, optional conduit fittings, and optional standoff adapters.
The use of these proximity probe housings allows for easy access to the proximity probe and its extension cable from the outside, enabling gap adjustments or probe replacements without the need for machine disassembly.
Note: Newer 31000/32000 proximity probe housing assemblies are available, offering more flexible installation options, better environmental resistance, and additional improvements. These updated housings are recommended for installations where explosion-proof housings are not required. Please refer to the specifications and ordering information (P/N 141610-01).

Both the 21000 and 24701 housing assemblies are available in CSA-approved versions for hazardous areas with explosion-proof ratings. Additionally, proximity probes certified by CSA and BASEEFA can be ordered. The 21000 aluminum and 24701 stainless steel housings are also available for intrinsically safe applications. Both housings meet CSA Class 4 standards and are fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) specifications.
