Bently NevadaTM Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systemsare designed to measure absolute (relative to free space)bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wiresystems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable.

The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wiredesign that uses moving-coil technology. It provides avoltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity.

Q1: What kind of signal does the 9200-02-01-10-00 output?

A: It outputs a standard industrial 4-20mA DC current signal. This signal is directly proportional to the vibration velocity of the machine

Q2: Does this sensor require an external proximity monitor or transmitter?
A: No. Unlike traditional eddy current probes that require a separate Proximitor, the 9200 is a self-contained velocity sensor. It processes the vibration signal internally and sends the 4-20mA loop signal directly to your control system.

Q3: Can I connect this sensor directly to my factory PLC or DCS?
A: Yes. Because it uses a universal 2-wire 4-20mA loop, you can wire it straight into any standard analog input (AI) card of major control systems.

Q4: Where should I mount the sensor on a machine?
A: Mount it directly onto the bearing housing or the rigid frame of the machine closest to the bearing.
