The Heidenhain PLB6001 is a system interface module designed to extend the I/O and human–machine interface capabilities of Heidenhain CNC controls using the proprietary HSCI (HEIDENHAIN Serial Controller Interface) bus. It functions as an HSCI slave module that provides a large number of PLC inputs and outputs, allowing connection of machine control panels, override potentiometers, handwheels, and additional I/O devices. The PLB6001 integrates seamlessly into Heidenhain control systems such as the MANUALplus 620 or iTNC systems, enabling flexible configuration of machine functional keys, indicators, override controls, and other machine signals.
