The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL is a PROFIBUS scanner designed for the 1756 backplane and the Honeywell PlantScape system. It enables communication between a CLX processor and DP remote I/O devices on a PROFIBUS network, functioning as a PROFIBUS DP remote I/O scanner. Certified as both a DP Master and Slave (with Profibus Firmware Revision 7.25), this module supports up to 15 listen-only connections and one output connection, while also allowing Sync and Freeze commands as a Master.

Supporting up to 125 slaves, the SST-PB3-CLX-RLL can handle up to 122 words of input and output data per slave. It supports all standard PROFIBUS baud rates, from 9600 up to 12M, and can be installed in any slot within the local or remote CLX chassis—up to eight scanners per rack are supported. Operating in Asynchronous Mode, the module begins scanning as soon as it is online, without waiting for an RPI (Requested Packet Interval), marking the only difference from the SST-PFB-CLX once the module is active.
